A Travellerspoint blog

Welcome to Hawaii Group 1!

This is the first morning for the first wave of friends making their way out to the wedding, and as will become usual on this trip, Susan is awake and at the beach for sunrise.

When the rest of us schmucks finally wake up, we hit some errands in the morning (Coscos trip #1), while it was cloudy and looked like rain. I had never been to a bulk food store before, so it was very strange for me. John had to flash the person at the door his Coscos card, and then I pushed around this economy sized shopping cart until it was so full of groceries that I had to hand it off b/c the weight of it all was actually hurting my wrist. We also had to give the guy at the door our receipt on the way out to check and make sure that we bought everything we had in our cart. Then we hit up the Ala Moana mall to pick up Joe's "hidden" fanny pack that he had left at Starbucks the night before! Yeah, I've forgotten a lot of the details of this week already, but time has not let me forget that one. Luckily we called the Starbucks and the pack was right where Joe left it. Unfortunately, the cash was not. But thank God for polite thieves. What do you need someone's ID for? What do you need their things that mean something to them, but are worthless to you? Just take the money and be on with it! So thank you ass hole who stole our cash because we were dumb enough to leave it for the taking.

Then, on a brighter note, we hit the beach in the afternoon and the sun came out. It was absolutely gorgeous, and we had a blast on the greenest colored water beach I had yet to witness on this trip.

Then in the evening we did our traditional family style dinner with loads of leftovers.
